A rather reserved tom, Smokestar is one that would rather fight with words over claws. The circumstances of his leadership were rather unfortunate, as the previous leader, Marshstar, died from being mauled by a dog. Still new to his position, he prefers to make safer decisions so that he has less of a chance of making a mistake. He feels that making one bad move at this point would break his clan, as there are many who don't already support him. Besides, he would rather refrain from needless bloodshed, and show mercy over bloodlust. While many can see his unwillingness to fight as a weakness, many warriors forget that not wanting to fight doesn't mean that he can't fight. He is willing to defend his clan till he loses his last life, which hopefully doesn't happen anytime soon.
